Safety Performance Of Diamond Cup Grinding Wheel

Update:21 Aug 2020

The safety performance of Diamond cup grinding wheel is a quality problem that can not be ignored, because "tooth loss" caused by production or use directly affects the performance of saw blade and the personal safety of operators. In industrial production, diamond cup grinding wheels are dangerous when used. For the sake of protecting and paying attention to life, manufacturers and users pay more and more attention to their safety.

Factors affecting the safety performance of diamond cup grinding wheels:

1. The external circular teeth of the substrate are not clean, resulting in weak welding and bonding.

2. The sintering process parameters are not well controlled, the sintering temperature is low, the "under-burning" makes the welding unstable, and the matrix itself is low in strength and fragile.

Measures to improve the safety performance of diamond cup grinding wheels:

Optimized design, using raw material powder with low oxygen content; Change the outer cylindrical shape of the matrix into a "swallow tooth shape" to improve the bonding strength between the matrix and the matrix.

Optimize the process. The tooth part of the substrate adopts the "copper plating" process; Adopt cold pressing-hot sintering process; Hot pressing-fusion welding process (i.e. laser welding process) is adopted. In traditional high-frequency welding, the bonding strength of welding seam (especially at high temperature) is not high enough, and the safety and reliability of saw blade are not good. The laser welding uses the focused laser beam as energy, and adopts the mechanism of penetration welding to melt the transition layer and the matrix of the cutter head to form a firm weld. Even when the saw blade and drill bit are used without cooling water, it can ensure high welding strength and safety in use.
