A threading tool is a tool for machining threads by cutting method and a tool for machining threads by plastic deformation method.
Introduction of threading tool:
A general term for threading tools and thread rolling tools. The former is a tool that processes threads by cutting methods, such as taps, dies, thread turning tools, thread milling cutters, automatic thread cutting heads, etc.; the latter is a tool that processes threads by plastic deformation methods, such as thread rolling plates and rollers, automatic opening and closing. Thread rolling heads and grooveless extrusion taps, etc.
Structural features of threading tools:
Taps and dies are standard tools for machining or trimming internal and external threads, with simple structure and easy use. Thread-turning tools can be used for turning internal and external threads. It is a form-turning tool with the same profile as the thread. There are three types flat, prismatic, and circular. A thread comb is a multi-tooth thread-turning tool that has both coarse and fine teeth so that threads can be machined in one or more cutting strokes. There are three types of thread milling cutters: disc cutters, comb cutters, and whirling cutters (see whirling). Disc thread mills are mainly used for machining trapezoidal threads and worms with large pitches. Comb tooth thread milling cutter is a kind of annular tooth milling cutter, when the workpiece rotates 1.25 to 1.5 revolutions, all the threads can be cut out.
There are oblique tooth patterns on the thread rolling plate, the tooth shape is the same as the thread tooth shape of the workpiece, and the oblique angle is the same as the thread lift angle of the workpiece. The static plate and the moving plate form a pair when working. There are three parts to the static plate: pressing, correcting, and withdrawing. High thread rolling productivity, but low machining accuracy, suitable for machining screws with diameters less than 20mm. The surface of the roller is made of multiple threads, the threads on the two rollers are opposite to the thread of the workpiece, and the pitch angle on the middle diameter of the roller is equal to the pitch angle on the pitch of the workpiece diameter. In order to enhance the rigidity of the mandrel and increase the life of the rolling wheel, the diameter of the rolling wheel must be increased, so the rolling wheel is made of multiple threads. The number of lines n=D2/d2=s/t, in which D2 is the pitch diameter of the thread rolling wheel; d2——the pitch diameter of the workpiece thread; s——the pitch of the thread rolling wheel; t is the pitch of the workpiece. The structure of the automatic opening and closing thread rolling head is similar to that of the automatic opening and closing thread rolling head. When the rolling wire reaches the predetermined length, the three rollers are automatically opened, and the roller head is quickly retracted. Slotless extrusion taps are formed by the plastic deformation of the metal when the hole wall is extruded.
